When you dance, the sun sets low
Like a trance, in candlelight
Colours fade, turn black and white
In the shade of moonlight's glow
Fireflies surround your face
Emphasize your inky hair
Cherries bloom, filling the air
Yellow gloom, on pink-white grace
Wind chimes' sounds are tinkling sweet
Blossomed crowns of trees, they sigh
Crickets sing, times loud, times shy
Sounds that ring in nightly heat
Can you feel the grass below?
Down your heel, the cold, wet ground
Hearing all of nature's sounds
Big and small, winds wave hello
Look about and see yourself
Oust your doubt, embrace this place
Paint with words to fill this space
Nouns and verbs, all else as well
In the end, my poem's your painting
For I've given only hints
As to what this world could be
Look inside your mind and see
That you're the artist, and not me
You brought to life the cherry tree
Moonshine, candles and the bee
I hope that you'll come to agree
