I think everybody defines love in a different way. Some definitions match your definition of love and some don't. It doesn't matter if this one doesn't, but I want to share my own definition of love - with a metaphor:
It's like walking in the cold for a long time, you are freezing and it just won't stop snowing. You feel so cold, that you think you'll never get warm again. But then you come home - you open the door - and feel the warm air hug your cold cheeks and you begin to feel good again. You take a hot bath in the candle light, put on fuzzy socks afterwards, cuddle up in a blanket and read a book while drinking hot milk with a spoon full of honey. It feels so good and new. You feel like you are really at home. You are at a save place, a place where nobody could ever harm you. She is my home, my save place.
