How and when did you first discover your passion for the world of literature?
I always loved reading, I started before I could literally walk. I was reading full blown novels at just 5 years old. Me and my best friend, our 6 year old selves, would read, talk, laugh, and make up our own stories. At 8 years old though, our school, the one we've been going to all our lives, the one most of our parent went to, all their lives, was closing down. We cried, we tried to stop it, protesting every day and every night, but it didn't work. Most of my friends went to the same school together, and it was cool, because I got to walk to school, an experience I never had before. But at the end of the 1st semester, the school tested every 4th grade student in the building, and found out I was gifted. It was the best, because all the kids would be A+ literature students and A+ math students, but I had to leave my best friends, the one's I've been with all my life. I started having more and more unwanted feelings, just eating them away, instead of doing heathier things. I started gaining weight at an alarming speed, falling into depression and almost throwing myself off a building, if my mother wasn't there to stop me, reminding me of all the good things in life, one of them being reading. Then, with the guidance of my uncle, I found that writing was a better, and much healthier remedy for getting rid of unwanted feelings. Now, I'm, as the popular saying goes, feelin' good, lookin' better. 😎
