"How do you see me?", Will questioned, almost rhetorically.
"The man who made a monster doubt its monstrosity", Hannibal answered earnestly.
"That's how you see yourself? A monster?"
"That's how the world sees me. That's how you see me."
"Maybe you are the monster who made the man doubt its monstrosity. Do monsters make bad things, or do bad things make monsters?" They saild, when you gaze long enough into the abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you. Hannibal had been through Hell, and in the mind of a child, what else than a devil could have been able to survive Hell.
"Two things can be true at the same time. True and false. Good and bad. Destruction and creation. Maybe we both were wrong. Sometimes I fear we might all just be human."
"Even you?"
"No. Even you, Will."
"You made me doubt my humanity."
"Because you are more than that, more to me. But am I more to you than a monster?"
Abigail: "I'm a monster."
Hannibal: "No. I know what monsters are. You're a victim.
And Will and I... we're going to protect you." 1.09
