The colonies have a different culture. They usually think of cats to be full grown when they get their first prophecy. The Colony cats know most prophecies that have occurred (including Lightningstar's)

When the young cats leave they usually are forced to grow up quickly. A lot of the cats that leave are at apprentice age (six moons) but they are considered working clan parts at four moons. This is one of the reason they have a different culture. A lot of them know too much for their age so they are mostly very reserved stoic cats.

The dead cats that whisper to them are call their Ancestors. The Ancestors don't whisper all the time unless that's the power a cat will have. The Ancestors don't deliver prophecies but they can predict them or say fragments of them.

Powers in the colonies are divided into four categories: Prophecy, Dream-walking, Whispers, and Reading.

The Prophecys usually don't have that much stuff going for them, they receive prophecies and carry them out making sure they happen.

The Dream-walkers are the most common and they do the same thing as the Prophecys but they can walk through dreams to get prophecies as well as receiving them

Whispers hear the voices of the ancestors and they usually never get a full prophecy.

Reading is just the ability to read minds that one and they are the most common. They can also put up mental blocks

A lot of the powers can overlap a lot of the time Whispers and Readers have the same set. Readers most commonly over lap with Whispers and Prophecys

The cats in charge are called Diviners because they're special with having every power under the stars so they're 'divine'

Diviners are usually the most powerful cats in the colony usually falling under every single type of power.

The cats that stay in the colonies are usually the whispers who don't too often get prophecies but the parents can stay too and the Diviner.

The cats who get prophesies are either called Seekers or Knowers. This is because they know things and seek them out. The Knowers usually stay in the colony and get some other cat to get the prophecy into action, that's why they're called Seekers.
