What happens to Belle as it is now?
As we currently know, Belletristica, as we have all come to know and love it, will be slowly shut down until the end of 2024. Only the chat room remains as a temporary solution for all previously registered users, as well as the option to continue downloading their own texts. However, new potential members can no longer join and many suggestions for improvements/additional features will unfortunately no longer be possible.

Depending on how far the “Shattered Throne” should be at this point, we begin the crossing. If the “Shattered Throne” takes longer, assuming February 2025, then the Belletristica 2.0 chat will of course remain open until then.
EDIT: Belletristica 2.0 will remain until the end of March 2025 at the latest, should we be able to finish the S.T. earlier, we will of course move earlier. (More on this: https://belletristica.com/de/books/64492-faq-shattered-throne-english-version/chapter/408262-announcement-belle-2-0-remains-until-the-end-of-march-2025 )
Is new registration already closed?
Yes, new registrations are now really closed. Previously, some people were probably unsure because there was a bug that temporarily prevented new registrations.
You can also read more about this in Ben's timeline (see link above).
--> Should the Shattered Throne become a reality and be stable (i.e. the gates will initially remain closed until the platform is truly functional), new registrations would of course be possible there again.
What happens to Ben, Sebi and the fairies?
They will all be released into their well-deserved retirement, but will still be available to give us advice in the beginning (thank you very much for that!)
It is of course up to them whether they would like to remain as a user in the “Shattered Throne” or whether they would like to be included in the team again later.
(By the way, you can find further information in Ben's FAQs, which were linked in the "link list".)
What happens to my stories/fairy dust/etc.?
The code and data remain for about 5 years, so your gems/fairy dust, etc. are not lost. We can't promise how much we can implement initially, but we'll of course try to bring back most of the features little by little. Unfortunately, we cannot say at the moment what this will look like later. But we have very hard-working and ambitious programmers who will do their best!
As far as your stories are concerned, you will be able to move them with you to S.T., but this must be confirmed by you beforehand. We can't say exactly what that will look like yet.
Will all the books that I've written here be transfered to S.T., including the covers?
Yes, there will be a button, and if you click on it, everything will transfer.
Will the books be transfered in their current "state"? Everything thats public stays public and thats not public stays not public?
If it's possible, we'll transfer *everything*. Even data that we dont need at first, like Fairy Dust, date of your last log in, achievements ...
Will pseudonyms get a own button for transfering?
No. There will be *one* button, which if you agree on transfering your data will transfer *all* of it.
Do I have to transfer my books under my pseudonym to my main account so that they can be moved with me to the S.T.?
No, the books of the pseudonyms will also be transferred after you have agreed to the move.
Should I delete my pseudonyms to make the move to S.T. easier?
Don't worry, that doesn't make any difference. You can just keep all of your pseudonyms.
Will there be a date after which we can't post books anymore?
Probably new books can't be posted after the end of March 2025. What time you will be able to do that again depends on how fast we'll be done with the new website.
Does this mean that it is “pointless” to continue working on my achievements/uploading my stories/participating in events/etc.?
No, it's definitely not "pointless".
Until the end of the year you can definitely still exchange ideas with others about your story/get feedback, etc. You can also continue to play the events as a “memory”, so to speak, and hopefully really enjoy them one last time, because there is still the certainty that Belle will last until the end of the year.
Now for the “glimmer of hope”:
No, Belle will no longer be 1:1 the same. But yes, we try to preserve the core and heart of Belletristica. Even if it won't be possible to set up Belle straight away due to time constraints, with all the gamification etc., we will also work on events, features, achievements, etc. bit by bit. The data is not lost, even if it runs in the background for the first time in "Shattered Throne".
(see also: "What happens to my stories/my fairy dust/etc?") This also includes hats, titles, etc.

What happens to my Patreon donations?
Since Ben is closing the Patreon account, you don't have to do anything else if you are currently supporting Belletristica with donations.
(You should have already received an email that Patreon was paused this month.)
As far as the Shattered Throne is concerned, it is currently unclear how we plan to resolve the financing. The fact is that we would of course be happy about your support to cover the ongoing server costs. But that doesn't mean you have to pay anything! Belletristica will always remain free! As soon as we have news about funding for the Shattered Throne, it will be added here.
