Your protagonist has the choice: A friend invited him on a May 1st excursion. We don't know whether there are two or more people. Oddly, the friend has disappeared (or gone underground). The protagonist is so worried because his friend has a talent for getting into trouble. With a higher goal in mind, it can happen that the friend is in danger. Ideas are often classy, but not always in compliance with the law. Alternatively, there would be an opportunity for your protagonist to gather and protest in the next city on May 1st. There is an injustice that has been bothering your protagonist for a long time. He is sure that he will find enough supporters if he addresses some of his friends. Notes on the prompts: Excursion: You could also write a fantasy story here, so I stayed vague. If your story is to play in modern times, the friend would be e.g. not reachable by phone. It can actually be a harmless excursion, then you simply describe the excursion without having to do anything bad. The trip could also be an excuse for something else - you are very free here. I could even imagine a scary story (in bad weather the trip to the cemetery, dilapidated house, etc.) Assembly: Classically, a political protest movement on German Labor Day would be obvious here. But a protest in another setting, medieval or fantasy, is also conceivable. A meeting with the aim of protesting perceived injustice actually goes everywhere. If you want, you can of course take both prompts and make two stories out of them. Miscellaneous: I deliberately omitted "Corona" and can of course be installed. As always, genders can be chosen freely.
