(Yes, I'm doing this in my spare time, so what?)

Sonic. Sonic. Sonic. Why can’t I stop thinking about you?

Your eyes…

Your face…

Your quills…

Your smile…

All of it.

But…why is it when you’re so close to me… You seem so much farther away?

…Oh…I see.

It’s because THEY are still here.

Is it possible to ask them to go?

So I can have you to myself? No…They’d know something is up with me.

And him.

But…They’d be such a hindrance to just EXIST by wandering around.

Do I have to do this?

They’re my friends.

I love them.

But…

I LOVE HIM MORE…I…Need…HIM.

"Tails! Up and at 'em! The egghead's at it again!"

Tails jolts up from his sleep. He had fallen asleep on his Journal. The words he had written the night before were slightly erased by his drool. He looks out his window to see Sonic waving from below at him. Tails' eyes widen and he waves back excitedly. He closes his window with his curtains. It's him. He's here...for me!! This is a dream, right!? Tails clutches his hand onto the fur on his chest tightly. He quickly put on his shoes, gloves, and goggles. He dashes out of his door. His heart races as he can't wait to see Sonic. He wants to hold him, touch him. Have him forever. He gets to his front door and practically kicks the door down to see him.

"Heya, Amy! Hey Knuckles!" The light in the eyes of Tails faded as he saw Sonic talking to Amy and Knuckles. His world slowly started to melt within his brain, leaking out of his eyes and his mouth. Like black ink flowing from a smashed and broken pen. "Oh, Tails!" A hand wraps around Tails's body, resting on his shoulder. Sonic smiles at him. Tails felt his heart burst out of his chest. "Alrighty! Let's get to it, guys!" He charges his footwork and speeds off, and right when he went over the hill, he vanished.

"H-Hey Soniiiiiiccc!!! Wait for meeee, darling!!!!" Amy runs after the trail left behind, Knuckles following behind. Tails stays standing where he is. He looks at the ground. He stays frozen. Sonic runs back over the hill as his friends frantically call his name. His friends run to his aid.

"Tails! Buddy! What happened? Are you okay!?"

"Tails, oh no! Tails! Say something!!" He slowly looks up. Amy and Knuckles back away from him. They see the "something" that happens to him is happening again. Before Tails could do something he doesn't want to, Sonic hits him on the back of his neck, knocking him out. Tails falls to the ground.

"Maybe we should do this by ourselves. Let him rest."

"Great thinking, Sonic!"

(Note: This is my first Sonic the Hedgehog fanfic, so some of the moods might not look like the moods of characters in the games. I should've looked up the personalities of these guys before writing this, but oh well.)
