Before we start, here's a very brief clarification that I believe is very important in this context:

Whether you can believe it or not, the following actually has absolutely nothing to do with the gruesome server outages of the last few weeks. Neither are the server outages a reason for the decision, nor do they result from it. That these two things are so closely linked is just really incredibly bad luck. One can only assume that the spirit of annoying server problems was just looking for a really juicy opportunity and when it heard the following, it thought to itself, "Yep, is for me."

We are still working on reducing these outages and getting them under control.
