Das Gedicht ist 2019 bei meiner 2. Schottland Reise entstanden, unmittelbar als wir den Loch Lomond umfahren und dazu ganz traditionell den passenden Song "The Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond" zur musikalischen Untermalung gehört haben.

Die Liebe zu diesem Land und der magisch musikalische Moment haben mir den Nährboden für das Gedicht "Baum am Loch Lomond" gegeben. Wer einmal in diesem freien Land voller alter Mythen und Wunder war, möchte garantiert immer wieder zurück.

Die Melodie zu dem Song entstand bereits 1841 und wird noch heute von zahlreichen Folkbands und Künstlern interpretiert. Am meisten inspiriert hat mich dabei die Version von Peter Hollens und David Archuleta, die ich Euch nicht vorenthalten möchte:
