How did The Shattered Throne come about?
After Ben in the Order of Knights reported to the Mods that he didn't see a long future for Belletristica and wanted to minimize Belletristica to a kind of "chat", seen as a retreat for all previous residents of Belletristica, the Mods didn't want to allow that. After a collective moment of shock, they diligently developed a concept that would bring a kind of “successor” or the Shattered Throne to life.
What does the “Shattered Throne” mean?
It's a nod to an idea Takaro had if Ben were ever unable to rule as Admin/Lord. This idea involved breaking the throne into multiple shards and hiding those shards throughout Belletristica so that the successors to the throne would have to prove themselves worthy by finding the shards. Similar to looking for the 7 Dragon Balls. Now that the Dark Lord is leaving the throne, he has decided to pass the shards on to the next generation. A high council made up of long-established veterans and moderators who want to usher in the next era together, but still hold the old values firmly in their hearts.
Who is behind the “Shattered Throne” team?
For now, a few of the core members want to remain secret so that they can fully concentrate on the project in the background. However, we have created contact points such as the “Infopoint - Belletristica: Shattered Throne” group to provide advice and answers. We hope that the FAQ will already answer most of these questions and will of course continue to expand on them. Further questions can be asked in the “Infopoint - Belletristica: Shattered Throne” group, but we would like to point out that the group should not be spammed. If possible, avoid lengthy discussions so that the flow of information can be kept open for other users. We also ask that core members who present themselves publicly to get in touch with users not be flooded with private messages.
How do I know who is among the core members who appear publicly?
The “public core members” are:
Ледяной диявол (Eisteufel)
Lyndis
Felix H.
Marv D. Graue
Maria K.
Skogsdotter
Leegween
In the future, they will identify themselves with a tourmaline ring emblem (ring symbol) on their profile, similar to the mod seal of the moderators who act on Belle in public. Of course, you can also show yourself directly in the chat with your emblem. So if you spot the emblem on a user's profile, you can be sure that the person is part of the core team.
Note: Since the introduction of these rings is currently not a priority, the core team members identify themselves with their mod seal for the time being, or non-mods who belong to the core team can be confirmed by mods in case of doubt.
Important: We would like to ask you again not to write to the members of the core team with private messages regarding news or the like; we have a special contact point for that (see Infopoint group).
What do the tourmaline ring emblems stand for?
The Darklord's throne is made of black tourmaline. When it was overthrown, the throne was broken into several splinters, which, upon closer inspection, glow in several colors. It is said that the color of the shards or the throne changes depending on who is currently ruling. In the hands of a mixed council like the one we have now, the splinters shine like a colorful rainbow.
