If you truly love someone and you are convinced that this person is the right one for the whole love you can provide in your lifetime, you will accept much. Way too much.
You accept not being loved. You accept the absence of the beautiful sentence "I love you". At the same time, you're waiting for the moment to hear it, even if only once in a life, you hope that this person will suddenly love you from one day to the next.
He won't. You know that and nevertheless you accept it. Because you truly love. You accept him making fun of romance, which you would need for a fulfilling relationship. You accept the certainty to be left alone when suddenly someone else comes in his life who lays claim to more respect, acceptance and need than you ever got from this person altogether.
That's too much. Way too much.
However, that's love and love is blind. Love is blind for your own desires, priorities, happiness. It rows all your dreams, which you had before, backwards.
If someone does not love you at least as much as you do,
Run as fast as you can.
You will not just increase the distance between you and this person, but you will also get closer to the ones who really deserve your attention. Who are thankful for having you in their life, who accept and love you as you are, with all the little things you're still working on – they will support you improving yourself, your feelings, your love. They will go with you, wherever you go. They will never hurt you on purpose.
Run. Get faster. Get stronger. Some people will leave right after hurting you, without even being sorry, but the strength stays, it will help you to get over them. It will help you to improve yourself, your feelings, your ability to love the right ones. You will get clear about what is important to you and how you can find it in your life. With each run you show respect not just towards yourself but also for the ones who really deserve your love.
