Summary: A military lawyer in the United States Navy known for successfully negotiating plea bargains is assigned to defend two Marines who are accused of murdering a fellow Marine. Though his initial inclination is to get them to plead guilty to manslaughter and accept six months in prison with a dishonorable discharge upon release, his co-counsel tells him they have a case and encourages him to take it to trial. But proving their innocence against the murder charge involves a move that could result in him being court martialed: putting his clients’ commanding officer on the witness stand.
Performances: Jack Nicholson is excellent as Colonel Jessup, the villain in the movie.
Demi Moore is great as Lt. JoAnne Galloway, Kaffee's co defense counsel.
And Tom Cruise is fantastic as Lt. Daniel Kaffee, the main defense attorney.
Overall: I loved this movie.
