The world was barren and desolate, and thus the titans decided to create a realm.
The place they chose was the Andromeda-Plains. At the time it was as barren and empty as the rest of the world. Just after the battle, Lupus' pack built the Cassiopeia-Mountains, which were so high, the snow on the peaks turned to silver, and here they placed the first and oldest sun. The mountains formed a circle around the Andromeda-Plains, and they were so strong, that the darkness could not gnaw away their foundations and could not shake the stones.
The plains reached from one end of the light to the other, protected from every kind of darkness, which is why they're also called Lightreach. In this empty, silent place the titans rested after their battle and the effort to raise the mountains. While doing so, some had the idea to create something of their own, living beings to help them with the tasks before them.
These were the Children of the Titans.
The first titan to sing again was Canis Major. From his voice, three big, strong sons sprang. The eldest was Sabik, whose fur was shimmering like gold and whose eyes burned like suns. The firstborn of the Andromeda-Plains was filled with the bravery of his father. Much will be told of him.
The second son of Canis Major was Pictor, whose fur glimmered like fog. He became a storyteller, spinning tales of great beauty, full of hope and defeated darkness. But he was mute and could not share the magic of his stories.
Because of that the third son was born: Deneb, the bard. Only he could understand Pictor and put into songs what his brother thought of. His fur was silver like starlight.
As the other titans saw how Canis Major created a new pack, they wanted to have children as well. Only the five scouts held back, and neither Pegasus nor Lepus wanted to create something.
But Canis Minor wanted to emulate his brother. He sang, but no sons but a beautiful, tender daughter, called Virgo. Her fur was white as freshly fallen snow and her gaze blue like eternity itself.
Next Ursa Major and Ursa Minor created a son together. Kornephorus was as strong as his mother and aunt. His pelt was white and brown and black, and he was enormous even then. From him as well much will be told. He soon became a good friend of Sabik, the firstborn, since Kornephorus was somewhat like him as the firstborn non-wolf.
Now Vulpecula wanted to create a son. But something went wrong and two young foxes appeared. One of them, Castor, was as black as the eclipse, the other, Pollux, was as white as snow. The titans feared the dark fox, for he reminded them their fight was far from over, and an argument began when Ursa Major demanded to ban the black fox, and Vulpecula angrily fought against her. Finally, Corvus interrupted, as did Lupus himself, and it was decided that nobody would be banished since non of the fox cubs was responsible for the color of his fur. But Castor would be warily observed for as long as he lived.
Lynx didn't want to stand back behind Vulpecula, so he sang two children: Regulus, a golden lion, and Algieba, a red tigress. Both shone like enormous suns and brightened the land.
The Andromeda-Plains, now inhabited by the titan's children, were already less desolate. Thus the titans decided to take on the task before them: To fill the extensive range with forests, rivers, lakes, animals, and plants.
While the titans worked, Pegasus sneaked away from his friends. The mighty stallion's heart was heavy. Together with Lepus, he had decided not to sing, but now he felt pain watching the happy families, and he could not ease the aching. Lepus didn't appear to feel the same and the scouts were occupied with placing clouds in the sky above the plains.
As Pegasus wandered through the plains he suddenly heard a voice and spotted a mare of delicate form, blindingly white, with a glowing horn upon her head. Where she came from will forever stay a mystery: Maybe a silent song from Pegasus' heart awoke her or maybe she wandered in from the outside, woke in the darkness just like Lupus, only much weaker, and was able to find shelter in this peaceful land.
Her name was Lukida, and she became Pegasus' companion. Later they had two foals together: Kentaur, a golden stallion, and Kitalpha, a golden mare.
Together the titans and their children now cultivated the realm. A winding path extended throughout the plains: Eridanus, the right path, lit up by the flowering stalk of Caelum, a plant made of starlight, which had countless blooms in those days. From the Lyra-Spring a mighty, silver stream originated: The Lyra. It is a turbulent river, determined by dangerous rapids, but there was a ford which later will be called elk-ford.
Every one of the four outer scouts also took a seed and carried it to a different part of the haven, and so four forests grew.
Grus, the crane, flew to the home of spring. There he planted the Forest of Time, so that the seasons could begin. The mighty tree of change grows there surrounded by flowers, blossoms, and swarms of insects.
The eagle Aquila flew to the home of summer and planted the Acaciameadow and wild vineyards. Regulus, son of Lynx, also lives there and became good friends with the eagle.
Corvus, the raven, flew to the river delta, where he planted the Alkeswoods, where the leaves turn into all the colors of the sunset. The judgment hall of the raven is there as well, where Corvus did his judgment.
And the swan Cygnus flew to the end of the river, to the home of winter, and planted the fir forest Mothallah, which could survive the cold and was a place of peace and silence.
In the meantime, Phoenix scouted a fiery red sea with waters red like blood: The Cepheus-Sea. Nobody knew where it came from. It appeared from nothingness, maybe a shadow of future grief.
The titans wanted to destroy it, but that was no easy feat. For the crimson water damaged their very being if they so much as touched it. Smaller beings would die there in an instant.
Vulpecula had the idea to keep Cepheus, to destroy the darkness if she ever found her way into the Andromeda-Plains. He managed to convince the other titans, and so they only build a protective mound around the red sea and warned every creature of Cepheus.
Oh, how they would regret this!
Now the titans built two more lakes, Atria and Norma, which would be a source of clean water for all creatures that were yet to be created.
Finally, the titans created the hidden glade Trishanku, a place of light in the heart of Andromeda. Only titans and their children were allowed to enter, and Lukida as well. Here the creators would be able to rest without disturbance.
As Lupus saw all his friends happy, he sang a final song. Thus Mirfak was born. Lupus' son, a wolf with fur of grey and brown, like stardust in animal form. He was the last child, for after this Lupus told them to use their songs only to serve the new world, and all titans agreed, content with their families and tasks.
