Five kings had fallen, and now the guardian Sabik arrow-star.
But of course, Sabik's Missing was noticed, and around that time the pack also realized Pluto was missing; it as Jupiter who noticed something was wrong. Now Mars' fighters understood their Alpha was missing as well, and they found out the same about Merkur, Neith, and Theia.
Suspicions grew among the kings left. Since Neptun was in Andromeda, it was up to Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus to get their packs and search for their siblings and Sabik.
But then, Uranus and Saturn started to fight, the white and the black wolf, about who's pack was better. Jupiter, who had the most wolves behind him, took no part in the comparison, but he knew that he only strenghtened the envy of his brothers. Finally, the three of them had to seperate and searched on their own, each in a differend direction.
In this night, Indus had set his sight on Jupiter, who came after Mars in the lineup. The grey wolf noticed the rider closing in and told his pack to leave. Like before, Indus advanced and Jupiter let him hunt him, avoiding arrows and spears and otherweapons of man, fleeing from Sham and Gliese. He knew of the risk, that he could disappear just like his siblings and even Sabik arrow-star, but he continued, until he spotted Auriga's trap.
There he stopped and raised his head to sing a song, calling his brothers and his pack. Then, an arrow from Indus hit and killed him. But Jupiter has send the call. The white and the black wolf, Uranus and Saturn, immediately ran toward him, and their packs with them.
They saw the trap and commanded return. Only Jupiter's pack didn't listen and ran forth, to the humans. A battle ensued, which costs many wolf lives.
Jupiter's pack fought to the blood. Saturn hesitated, before leading his wolves to battle, and Uranus flew. The white wolf ran to Sol, to tell him and get him to help. As the Sun Wolf and Uranus came, most wolves were dead. Indus and Auriga only needed to kill Uranus, then they could call for the darkness to come, for there wouldn't be a power to fight her. The shadows were already growing on Mimosa.
Now the guardians sounded the alarm, far too late, since Indus and Auriga weren't hidden anymore. The light of Mimosa had almost fallen.
As Sol sah the battlefield, he called on the titans. Canis Major himself heard the call and came down with mighty thunder. Sol and Uranus, as well as Uranus' pack, followed the mighty titan into battle. Together they could tear the traps and overwhelm the humans. The souls of the kings came free and could flee, to one day return. Sol's Guardians together hunted down Sham and GLiese, the two dogs, and they too went into the darkened paths of Andromeda, into the star-fields.
After the fight, Sol turned toward Uranus in Anger. As he heard how his kids had gone missing and that Uranus flew from the fight, he killed him because he didn't help his siblings.
Again, Corvus had to make a court. The raven was white again, for Lupus had forgiven him after he had helped with saving everyone - that is why there are many kinds of ravens with white patches in their feathers.
Now it was clear that Indus and Auriga were evil, they were to be killed in the Cepheus-Sea. But before, the titans were interested in how things had gone south this bad in the first place.
Much came to light: The many animals serving the humans already. Even in Andromeda there were dogs, terrible, black beasts with red eyes, who lead the souls of dead humans back to light. These Hellhounds were hunted, but many of them could escape; among them the fastest: Sham and Gliese ...
All these servants, even Kentaur, had known of the human's doing. This was such a shock for Canis Major that he turned his back on Mimosa, for there was so much wrong in this place that he didn't see any salvation.
Sol did the same. He turned his back even on his kids as they returned from Forgottenness. Sol was disappointed that they didn't stick together and hadn't realized how many of them had gone missing. Their dispute in the darkest hour was treason to him.
From now on, he said, it was up to the nine kings and their children to protect Mimosa.
Sol still watches above us, each day we can see him. But his gaze holds no love anymore. He doesn't deem the wolves worthy to see the stars anymore, because they didn't stop the humans. So his eye hides the stars from the view of all but the red eyes of his kids. The nine and their packs can still see the stars, even at day, but Sol cannot forgive all others.
To honor the Fallen, however, two halls in Andromeda were built, at both ends of the path Eridanus, which was the only thing leading through the dark.
This were Corona Borealis, the hall of heroes, and Corona Australis, the hall of wise. Wolves that had shown strenght in their live, could rest here after their death in the light that was now taken from them in Mimosa. The halls of the great are our only hope of redemption since those days, but you can only reach them if you stick to the Right Path, the Eridanus, and follow the rules of Sol and the titans.
