Andromeda had fallen, and Mimosa would be nothing but a faint echo.
Sol and Lunis turned towards their new realm. The titans had given them the power to create new things, although much less than the Great had been able to. But Mimosa was small, compared to Andromeda. Sol and Lunis, and their friends Sirius, Canopus and Arktur, where the gods of this new world
While the three fighters, silver Sirius, mist-white Canopus, and golden Arktur, protected Mimosa, the star-colourd Lunis gave golden Sol nine pups. As the nine opened their eyes, they brought them to the titans and told them about the fate they had been born into, and they told them to look at the Cepheus-Sea, which was the root of all pain. From looking into those flames, the eyes of the nine young wolves turned red.
The children of Lunis and Sol were the first kings.
The first of them was Merkur. His fur was pure silver like the light of stars. He was a loving but stern older brother, and he never took a pack; just like the two sisters who were born second and third: Neith, the elder, had fur of a cozy, golden colour, like amber or honeycomb. The second sister, Theia, was white with blue colours. She fell in love with the realm Mimosa and decided to put all her power into protecting and nuturing it. This task takes all her attention, so she is barely seen in the realm herself.
The fourth brother had fur red as blood. His name was Mars and he was a great warrior, never backing down from a fight. He found two other warriors and formed a small pack.
The fifth brother was the greatest of them all: Jupiter, a grey wolf, had the biggest pack, from wolves of all kinds that were loyal to the death. For he was wise, friendly and kind, brave and loyal. It is said, even the titans were astonished by him.
The sixth brother, the second biggest, was Saturn with fur as black as the darkness. He also had a big pack, but he preferred hunters that could sustain it.
The seventh brother was white as snow; his name was Uranus. He had the third-biggest pack, for he was a friendly and helpful wolf, taking in many.
The eight brother, Neptun, had blue fur with with white markings. He chose to go to the star-fields, where he helped the titans in their war. His pack had many scouts and even more warriors, but he rarely returned to Mimosa.
The last brother finally was the smallest. He wasn't truly Lunis' child, she had found him alone after the war and raised him without telling anyone. Even Sol didn't know, and lunis raised Pluto like one of her own. He had red-white fur and was the smallest and slowest, but he was funny and thus found a small, loyal pack.
The nine kings went to earth, which was just growing, and helped their parents to the best of their powers. But their gaze remained red like the fires of Cepheus, and while other beings became smaller, the nine stayed big; though they weren't as big as Lunis or Sol to begin with.
Theia was especially good at nuturing Mimosa, by creating new beings to roam the land. Lunis and Sol were very proud of their younger daughter.
Theia was creative and peaceloving. She sang a lot. Many saw an echo of Virgo in her friendly, calm demeanor, others saw the heirtage of Deneb and Pictor. Anyways, she loved the creation Mimosa with all her heart and gave everything to it.
Other Neith, who was as much of a warrior as her brother Mars. The golden she-wolf and the red wolf often fought in their play. Mars was stronger, but Neith faster. But Neith was also aggressive, which is why she stayed alone, while Mars found two loyal betas: Phobos and Deimos.
Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptun were inseparable in these first days. They roamed the land together and fought danger where they spot it. They and their packs didn't have the power that the titans had owned, but they could fight back the enemies of the wolves, or hunt the prey that got too many, and they helped when fires, avalances, floodings or hard winter occured.
Pluto didn't have power like that. He made some small songs and made some creatures laugh. Forever he would stay in the shadow of his siblings. Sol wasn't happy about that and wanted more of him, but Lunis knew the blood in Pluto's veins wasn't as strong and she loved him as much as her own kids. She told Sol not to be too strict with him.
When Neptun finally annouced he'd rather join the titans than stay in Mimosa, his parents became sad. While Lunis hid her sadness and ancouraged her son, Sol got angry and tried to forbid it.
But Neptun was adamant, and so were many wolves of his pack. Sol had to let him go and finally agreed. Neptun would've gone without his fathers' approval, but this way they could part in friendship.
The loss was hard for Lunis and Sol. Of course they were happy, their children found their own paths, but they didn't want to let their son face the dangers of the star-fields which once had been Andromeda. And it hurt to know someone would preferr the war to the small paradise they created.
They didn't know that Neptun leaving was only the beginning of their loss. Many a shadow would fall over Mimosa, before peace could reign. Only Sol had a hunch that Mimosa wouldn't be save forever, and he started to search for guardians that would watch over the realm so no danger would stay hidden.
