Inktober: Fancy
It was an elegant lilac dress that flowed around her, an extravagant location and a fancy guy in front of her. Lilly still didn‘t know how to feel about all of this. She usually prefered the old blue sweater that hugged her whenever she was cold, together with the brown pants that fit her perfectly without being too tight. Her absolute favorite clothes.
But it was his day and this was what he wanted. Not all the time, not even often. Just once a month Chris got to decide date-night, the when and where and sometimes, like today, what she would wear. She thought of a good payback for when it was her turn. Something that he really wouldn’t fancy doing all that much.
It wasn’t like she hated going to these places and eat exquisit food - the food was actually the best part of it. It was a game they played that kept refreshing their relationship, which would have lasted for twenty wonderful years in a few months. A good and solid relationship, with ups and downs and an „I love you“ at the end of every day.
Chris complimented her looks while sitting down at the reserved table. Through the window they could look down on the bustling city and the view was stunning. After the truly superb dinner they took a stroll through the park together, enjoying the cool breeze under the stars.
What a lovely date it was. Lilly liked to remember that night but today she would decide what they were to do. Her chuckles seemed to annoy Chris a little. Finally he got into the outfit she had him wear. „Are you really sure all of this is necessary?“
„Don‘t complain, sweetie, this is my day,“ she smirked as she handed him the paintball gun. „And to me you still look pretty fancy.“
