»Mommy … there are the fish!!!«
Naomi's voice sounded high-pitched and loud through the halls of SeaWorld aquarium. Everyone could see and hear just how excited the five year old was.
She ran towards the first big aquarium and her eyes fixated on the colourful fish, following their movements with her gaze.
Isabella stepped up behind her and her husband Jonathan stood right beside her. Naomi's grandparents followed a moment later.
»Were we this loud and excitable at this age?«, Jonathan asked and rolled his eyes when Naomi shouted with glee about the doctor fish swimming towards her.
His mother laughed and petted his shoulder.
»Oh yes, my darling boy. You were. It just weren't fish you were interested in. You were more of a cat and dog guy. You tried to adopt any stray you could find at that age«, the grey-haired woman told him and her eyes were shining with glee.
Now her son would know why his mom and dad were always so exhausted when he was a little boy. She hoped he would realize just like them it was the most precious thing and time in the world.
