Isabella stood at the top of the dune and watched the waves roll onto the shore.
She had just found out she was pregnant again and she didn't know what to think. After Noemi had turned two she had wanted to become pregnant at every cost but now she wasn't so sure.
She still wasn't coping well with the consequences of her accident. Her leg, hips and back still hurt most of the time. Especially whenever it was cold or humid and cold.
Isabella curled into her coat and an extra blanket for warmth.
The air was cold and crisp. Wind played with her hair and she smiled even if she didn't really feel like smiling.
Her greatest wish was coming true and here she was contemplating of aborting the pregnancy.
She had already talked to her husband who had been over the moon but when confronted with the reality of her body possibly not being able to hold up during the pregnancy had told her he would have her back no matter what she decided.
Being forced to make this decision alone had led to a night full of tears, an argument and Isabella driving to the shore, leaving Noemi and Jonathan at home.
She still didn't know what she wanted to do.
She wanted this baby.
She really did.
But what would happen when she gained weight and girth during the pregnancy. Would her bones be able to withstand the added strain? Would she herself be able to cope with the added pains?
The rolling waves helped her calm down a bit.
She had so many questions and no answers.
But it occurred to her who would have those answers.
Her doctors. They could help determine if a pregnancy was feasible in her current state.
She wanted to give Noemi a little brother or sister. She just didn't know if she could anymore.
»Time to find out,« she mumbled and turned away from the shore. Slowly she walked back to her car where she grabbed her mobile and made an appointment with her doctor.
Afterwards, she drove back home.
