»I don't understand … why does pumpkin have to wear shoes? He can't walk!«, Noemi said.
She watched her mother dress her baby brother and some things didn't make sense in her mind.
Isabella looked at her, smiled indulgently and answered: »You are right … it doesn't make sense … it is just one of those things … you dress a babe like you would dress yourself and you wouldn't go out without shoes, right? At least not in this dreary weather.«
Noemi thought about her mothers words and nodded a moment later.
»He should wear rain boots,« she said after looking out of the window.
Outside it was pouring.
Isabella grinned.
»I don't think they make them this tiny.«
Noemi looked sternly at her mom.
»Well you should feed him more so he grows faster. He could wear my old boots … the pink ones with the butterflies«
Isabella smiled softly.
»It doesn't work that way, sweety. He grows at his own rate,« she told her.
Noemi pouted but accepted Isabella's words without complaint.
