Vesper Lynd: She's my number one favorite Bond girl. I love her because she's witty, feisty, mysterious, beautiful, and Bond's equal. It's not surprising that this unique, strong lady steals the heart of the aloof MI6 agent. Unfortunately, Vesper also breaks his heart when she double-crosses him and she dies.
Madeleine Swann-Before I explain why she's one of my favorites, I ask that you don't comment about her dying in the new upcoming movie. She is returning in the new movie. The rumors that she is going to be killed off are being spread by the tabloids. Let's just wait and see what happens to her when the movie comes out.
Now, on to my explanation of why she's one of my favorite Bond girls.
You also probably saw this one coming since I posted an entry defending this underappreciated female character in the 007 franchise. Madeleine is my second favorite Bond girl. I love her because she's Bond's equal in combat and intellect. Madeleine doesn't need to be saved until Blofeld abducts her and holds her hostage in the ruins of the old MI6 building, which is rigged with explosives set to blow after a 3-minute countdown. James, who she has fallen in love with and who returns her feelings, rescues his beloved Madeleine and they escape just as the time runs out and the building is destroyed by multiple explosions. She also speaks up for herself, even if it means trying to leave Bond to avoid being intimately involved with a man who leads the life of a spy with a license to kill. Madeleine fights by helping patients treat their mental health problems. This is the one way she is superior to Bond. Madeleine doesn't die in SPECTRE. So far, she is the only woman to stay with James at the end of one of his movies and one who he truly loves.
Tracy Bond-She is my third and final favorite Bond girl. I love her because she is stubborn and fights when she needs to. She is also the only woman who has married James so far. Her death made me sad.
