I loved this special. I would have liked to see Mal & Ben get married before all of Auradon, not just their loved ones, but I understand wanting only their loved ones in attendance. However, Ben is the King of Auradon. The King marrying his lady is a big deal and it would normally be a huge event with the entire kingdom in attendance. Royal weddings are usually huge, public celebratory events, not lowkey, private ones with just the bride and groom's loved ones in attendance. Henry VIII had private, lowkey wedding ceremonies all six times he got married, but usually, the King getting married is such a big deal that he usually gets married in Westminster Abbey or some other big Cathedral in England with the whole country in attendance. I also expected a coronation to follow the wedding ceremony. I mean, because as Ben's wife, Mal is the Queen of Auradon and the Isle of the Lost now. Audrey as the wedding planner was perfect. It reinforces the idea that she's sorry for the whole Queen of Mean chain of incidents, that she accepts that Ben and Mal are together permanently and that Mal is the Queen. But the thing that matters is Ben and Mal are married now.
