I have to address this because there are phans who make a fuss about the fact that Gerry Butler and Emmy Rossum's voices were edited. They weren't overly edited. To me, it's not a big deal. What matters to me is that they both sang their parts, did the best that they could, and sang from their hearts. Their voices were edited a little bit and there's no shame in that. I know Gerry fell short vocally during some parts and tech was used to compensate when he couldn't hold the high and/or long notes and when they had to correct his pitch. I found a video on YouTube of Gerry recording a piece of The Music of Night and it's exactly the way it sounds in the movie. I thought they did a good job singing the songs, despite Gerry's vocal shortcomings.
