Der Goldschwanzgecko (Strophurus taenicauda Syn. Diplodactylus taenicauda) ist eine Geckoart aus der Familie der Doppelfingergeckos (Diplodactylidae). Die Art ist in New South Wales und Queensland endemisch.
Zur Verteidigung gegen potenzielle Raubtiere kann er aus seinem Schwanz, genauer aus Drüsen im Schwanzbereich, einen Sprühnebel übelriechender, klebriger Flüssigkeit abgeben.
