Der Hector-Delfin (Cephalorhynchus hectori) ist mit einer Länge von bis zu 1,50 Metern und einem Gewicht von 40 bis 60 Kilogramm einer der kleinsten Vertreter der Delfine (Delphinidae). Der Amazonas-Sotalia (Sotalia fluviatilis, Syn.: Sotalia pallidus, Sotalia tucuxi (Gray, 1856)) bleibt ähnlich klein.
